Overview

The Financial Services Division of the Agency of Administration (AOA) is searching for a Financial Administrator III.

 

This high-level accounting position will require experience in accounts payables, accounts receivables and billing. Individuals with VISION (or other accounting systems), VTHR and Employee Expense Reimbursement experience is preferred but not required.  The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and has excellent written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service experience. 

 

The Division currently operates in a hybrid working environment and telework is applied for on an individual basis.

Environmental Factors

Work is performed in a standard office setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting AND one (1) year of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards

OR

Associate's degree in accounting, business administration, office administration or a related field AND four (4) years of professional experience in accounting, maintaining, reviewing, analyzing and accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards
OR

High School diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years or more of professional experience in accounting involving maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing accounting or financial data and records to ensure compliance with accepted accounting practices and standards.

OR
Two (2) year as a Financial Administrator II with the State of Vermont.


NOTE: CPA certificate is considered qualifying.

Preferred Qualifications

For some positions preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.

Special Requirements

For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required.
