Job Description
The Vice President of Product will lead the strategy and execution of SS&C Health's product and services portfolio, spanning healthcare technology platforms and operational capabilities including call center and BPO services. This executive will drive the definition of a unified product vision, shape market leading solutions in partnership with senior client stakeholders, and lead cross functional execution that delivers scalable, differentiated offerings across the healthcare ecosystem.
They will ensure the organization is equipped with best in class product management and enablement capabilities, including clear roadmap governance, compelling value articulation, and structured client and market feedback loops that continuously inform product direction and innovation.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience operating at the intersection of technology and services, with a strong understanding of healthcare platforms and complex operational environments. They combine analytical rigor with strong commercial instincts and executive level storytelling, and operate with a disciplined, data driven approach to product strategy, investment prioritization, and delivery execution. This includes leveraging client insights, market dynamics, and performance data to refine product positioning and maximize impact.
This leader will design and execute SS&C Health's product strategy, focused on advancing platform modernization, integrating technology and services into a cohesive offering, and driving measurable outcomes for clients. In close partnership with sales, marketing, and solution leadership, they will align market opportunities with platform and service capabilities while elevating product discipline, including roadmap clarity, packaging, and messaging that strengthens positioning in competitive enterprise pursuits.
The Vice President of Product will report to Crystal Brown, Chief Growth and Product Officer, and will serve as a key member of the leadership team, translating strategy into a scalable, high impact portfolio that drives client value, operational excellence, and sustained growth for SS&C Technologies.
Expectations of this role include:
- Define and lead a multi year product strategy that unifies platform and service capabilities into a differentiated market offering
- Own the end to end product and services portfolio, including claims platforms, ecosystem integrations, call center and BPO offerings
- Translate client needs, regulatory dynamics, and market trends into a clear, prioritized, and actionable roadmap
- Integrate technology and services into a cohesive value proposition that drives client outcomes and competitive differentiation
- Partner closely with Sales, Account Management, and Marketing to align product strategy with pipeline development, deal execution, and growth priorities
- Shape pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies for integrated platform and services offerings
- Actively engage in strategic client discussions, bringing a strong product point of view to complex enterprise opportunities
- Establish and maintain executive level relationships with key clients and partners
- Build structured feedback loops to continuously incorporate client, market, and competitive insights into product direction
- Lead the integration of AI and automation across both platform capabilities and service operations to improve efficiency, quality, and cost
- Ensure governance, auditability, and measurable outcomes for AI driven initiatives
- Establish strong product management discipline, including roadmap governance, prioritization frameworks, and performance metrics
- Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Operations, Delivery, and Client Success to ensure consistent execution
- Deliver high quality product releases and service enhancements with speed, reliability, and scalability
- Build and lead a high performing product organization focused on innovation, accountability, and results
- Drive measurable impact on revenue growth, client retention, margin expansion, and operational performance
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 15 plus years of experience in healthcare technology product leadership with a track record of defining and scaling enterprise platforms
- Enterprise Platform Product Leadership: Proven success leading product organizations responsible for mission critical technology platforms serving national and regional health plans, health systems, and large healthcare organizations
- Complex Solution Development and Delivery: Demonstrated ability to define, shape, and deliver complex platform and services solutions within highly regulated environments, aligning product capabilities to multi stakeholder client needs
- Executive Engagement: Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with C suite leaders, boards, and senior client stakeholders while influencing internal leadership and cross functional teams
- Business and Growth Impact: Consistent record of driving measurable impact on revenue growth, client retention, and margin through product strategy, commercialization, and portfolio execution
- Strategic Market Insight: Deep understanding of healthcare market dynamics, payer economics, regulatory pressures, and competitive positioning that informs product strategy, investment prioritization, and roadmap development
