What You Will Get To Do:
SS&C is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Valuations team based in Singapore. The Valuations team is responsible for independently pricing the portfolios of clients in line with their valuation policy and play a key role in ensuring integrity of the NAV published. Valuations are produced using market data from vendors and internal pricing analytics, which are then benchmarked to reference valuations to highlight and investigate exceptions.
The successful candidate will have effective people skills to collaborate with various interdepartmental teams on valuation matters and have knowledge on various asset classes and pricing models. The candidate will have the ability to work independently on a wide variety of tasks and display an aptitude for problem solving. They will assist in the monthly and quarterly tasks in a timely manner, and where necessary escalating valuation issues to Management/client.
- Perform independent valuation control across a variety of financial instruments including various OTC derivatives using approved in-house valuation models or third-party independent vendors.
- Evaluate the integrity of vendor supplied pricing data against market movements and alternative sources
- Resolve price challenges by validating market data and reviewing pricing models
- Input and maintain information on various valuation systems / databases consistent with client pricing policies.
- Assist in projects to improve valuation control and efficiency, helping generate innovative ideas, and challenge the status quo.
- Review P&L queries and monthly valuation reconciliations, analyzing and commenting on exceptions for the client review.
- To perform UAT testing new valuation methodologies for new instrument types and provide feedback to quantitative development team
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or other quantitative subjects
- 2 – 5 years financial markets experience
- Knowledge on financial instruments such as Fixed Income,
- Interest Rate Swaps, Equity options, FX options, Swaptions, etc.
- Experience with Bloomberg will be an advantage
- CFA/FRM qualification will be an advantage
- Demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills
- Proficient in Excel, programming experience in VBA is a plus. Ability to work on tight deadlines.
