Job Description
As a Principal Software Engineer - Front end Lead, you will be instrumental in leading the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces for our financial technology products. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead and mentor a team of front-end engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Drive the architectural design and technical direction for complex front-end applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
* Oversee the entire software development lifecycle for front-end components, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate business requirements and design mockups into functional and visually appealing user interfaces.
* Define and enforce front-end coding standards, best practices, and design patterns, ensuring code quality and consistency across projects.
* Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and guide junior engineers in their technical growth.
* Research and evaluate new front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of front-end applications.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
* Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in front-end software development, with a significant portion in a leadership or principal role.
* Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
* Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
* Strong experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, Gulp) and package managers (npm, yarn).
* Solid understanding of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, NgRx, Vuex).
* Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).
* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable and maintainable front-end architectures.
* Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture is a plus.
* Experience in the FinTech industry or with complex enterprise applications is highly desirable.g
