Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including a contact centre, using digital services.

What You Will Get To Do:
The Senior Fund Accountant (Super) is responsible for managing and maintaining the accounting records and financial reporting for superannuation funds. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and supports the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, investment reports, and related documents. The Senior Fund Accountant works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as auditors, custodians, and trustees to ensure the efficient operation of the fund.
This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Newcastle
- Prepare management, board, statutory, and regulatory financial reporting including APRA reporting.
- Review and authorise reconciliations, payments, and transactions, including cash flow, banking, accounts payable, reserves, investments and BAS/IAS.
- Prepare monthly tax provisions for the fund and tax records for annual fund tax returns.
- Calculate annual tax true-ups and allocation to members.
- Support external and internal audits, providing evidence, and controls assurance program participation.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, offering insights on regulatory changes impacting accounting and reporting.
- Collaborate on project initiatives, process improvements, and maintain Fund Accounting Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Fund Accounting Team in technical and operational matters.
What You Will Bring:
Highly proficient in Excel and working with large volumes of data
6 years' experience in superannuation fund accounting, financial reporting, APRA reporting and superannuation tax
Proficiency in accounting software and systems (e.g., Xero, Sage).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Risk management: identification of control gaps, incident management and remediation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
RG146 or studying towards
