What You Will Get To Do:

The Head of Asset Services, Australia is a senior executive accountable for the strategic leadership, governance, and end-to-end operational delivery of Asset Servicing across Australia. This role owns and integrates the three core service pillars Transfer Agency, Middle Office, and Fund Administration (Back Office) to deliver a cohesive, scalable, and client-centric operating model.

The role is responsible for driving growth, service excellence, risk management, and transformation, while ensuring alignment with regional and global strategies. It serves as a key member of the Fund Services APAC leadership team, and SS&C Australia leadership team. It also includes representing Australia at executive, client, and industry levels.

Strategic Leadership & Business Ownership

  • Define and execute the Australia Asset Services strategy, aligning Transfer Agency, Middle Office, and Fund Administration into a unified middle-to-back and front-to-back service offerings for Asset Management clients.

  • Drive business growth, including product expansion, bundled service models, and participation in client pitches and RFPs.

  • Partner with Product, Technology, and regional leadership to enhance service capabilities and market competitiveness.

  • Establish a forward-looking operating model, leveraging industry trends, regulatory requirements, and digital innovation and automation.

  • Set and execute the enterprise strategy for Asset Services, with full accountability for financial outcomes, investment prioritisation, and optimal deployment of resources across the franchise.

End-to-End Operational Accountability

  • Maintain executive oversight of end-to-end service delivery across Transfer Agency, Middle Office, and Fund Administration, ensuring alignment to a unified operating model.

  • Ensure the integrity, timeliness, and regulatory compliance of all fund accounting, investor servicing, reporting, and unit pricing activities through robust governance frameworks.

  • Set the strategic direction for scalable, standardised service delivery models that enhance efficiency, consistency, and client experience.

  • Hold ultimate accountability for client outcomes, ensuring services consistently meet or exceed agreed standards and reinforce long-term client partnerships.

  • Oversee the performance framework across all service lines, leveraging data and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Risk, Governance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Own the enterprise risk profile for Asset Services, ensuring strong first-line accountability, effective controls, and proactive risk management across all activities.

  • Provide strategic oversight of regulatory compliance across ASIC, APRA, tax, and financial reporting obligations, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations.

  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, including oversight of offshore operations, third-party providers, and cross-jurisdictional delivery models.

  • Oversee audit, compliance, and regulatory interactions, ensuring effective issue resolution and continuous strengthening of the control environment.

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness, accountability, and control excellence across all levels of the organisation.

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Act as the senior executive sponsor for key client relationships in Australia, driving strategic engagement, satisfaction, and long-term partnership outcomes.

  • Represent Asset Services at executive forums, including client boards, industry bodies, and regulatory engagements.

  • Provide leadership across complex stakeholder ecosystems, aligning internal functions including Product, Technology, Risk, and Operations.

  • Shape and embed a client-centric culture, ensuring service innovation and delivery excellence remain central to the operating model.

  • Work with internal partners in delivery of SS&C technology and products from other divisions that are utilised in the Asset Servicing models.

Transformation, Change & Innovation

  • Define and lead the strategic transformation agenda, including operating model evolution, platform modernisation, and regulatory change delivery.

  • Champion innovation across the Asset Services franchise, steering investment in automation, digital capabilities, and data-driven solutions.

  • Provide executive oversight of change programs, ensuring disciplined execution, risk governance, and alignment to strategic objectives.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, balancing innovation with operational resilience, control, and scalability. Including automation initiatives and targets.

People Leadership & Culture

  •  Provide enterprise leadership to a multi-disciplinary Asset Services organisation, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and inclusive culture.

  • Build organisational capability through strong leadership development, succession planning, and talent retention strategies.

  • Set the tone from the top, embedding a culture of collaboration, client focus, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee workforce strategy, ensuring alignment to long-term business objectives and evolving service delivery models.

What You Will Bring:

  • 15+ years' experience in Asset Services, Fund Administration, or Transfer Agency leadership roles

  • Deep expertise across fund accounting, investor services, middle office operations, and regulatory frameworks

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale operations and transformation programs

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic leadership capability

  • Demonstrated success managing complex stakeholder environments and global operating models

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline (postgraduate preferred)

  • Enterprise mindset with end-to-end ownership across service pillars

  • Strong risk and control orientation, balanced with commercial delivery

  • Ability to integrate and simplify complex operating models

  • Inspirational leader with a client-centric and innovation-driven mindset

  • Proven ability to execute strategy while maintaining operational excellence
