• Act as the bridge between business requirements and technical delivery on a financial services wealth platform
• Translate complex wealth management business needs into clear functional specifications and solution designs
• Produce high-quality documentation including functional specifications, solution design documents, process flows and data dictionaries
• Facilitate requirements workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to define user stories, acceptance criteria and designs
• Design integration approaches between platform components and third-party services (e.g. custodians, data providers, payment rails)
• Define data flows, entity relationships and reporting requirements across the platform
• Collaborate with development, QA and architecture teams to ensure solutions are implementable, scalable and aligned with platform strategy
• Deep analytical ability; capable of decomposing complex business processes into precise functional specifications
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present and defend designs to both business and technical audiences
• Proactive in identifying opportunities to simplify, modernise and improve platform design
• Collaborative approach; works effectively across business, development, QA and architecture teams
• Commitment to continuous learning across both wealth domain knowledge and emerging technology patterns
• 5+ years' experience in functional or solution architecture, business analysis, or a combined role within financial services
• Deep knowledge of wealth management products and client journeys: investment portfolios, pensions, ISAs, savings products, suitability and appropriateness assessments, and client reporting
• Proven ability to produce high-quality functional specifications, solution design documents, process flows and data dictionaries
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops and translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional designs
• Strong understanding of multi-tier application architecture: front-end portals, API layers, back-end services and relational databases, sufficient to assess technical feasibility and impact
• Experience designing integration patterns between wealth platform components and third-party services
• Knowledge of data modelling; ability to define data flows, entity relationships and reporting requirements
• Familiarity with regulatory obligations in wealth management: client suitability, product governance, transaction reporting and audit trail requirements
• Experience working in agile delivery environments; comfortable authoring epics, features and stories alongside product owners and development teams
• Experience on a multi-tenant wealth platform serving multiple client business units or brands from a single environment
• Exposure to Angular-based investor and advisor portal design from a functional perspective
• Knowledge of open banking, API-first platform design and RESTful service specifications
• Familiarity with GDPR, data residency requirements and regulatory outsourcing obligations within EU financial services
• Experience with ArchiMate, TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture frameworks
• Exposure to AI-assisted design tooling and the use of large language models to accelerate documentation and specification authoring
• Experience using Jira for requirements traceability, story management and design review workflows; SharePoint for specification management and team collaboration
