About the Role

SS&C GlobeOp is seeking experienced professionals with a strong background in fund accounting management to take on a Director role in our Luxembourg office.

This position requires proactive ownership of key client relationships and the ability to foster strong collaboration with colleagues across the organization. The successful candidate will also engage closely with Clients, Investors, AIFMs, Depositaries, Auditors, Fund Boards, the Bank Central of Luxembourg (BCL) and Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), and other critical internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, the role involves leading managers who oversee teams of Fund Accountants located in both Luxembourg and India. Candidates will be expected to contribute to, and potentially take ownership of, strategically focused projects that drive the organization forward.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of experienced professionals to deliver exceptional client service, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time, to the highest standards, and in line with service level agreements and procedures.
  • Oversee professional development, coaching, and performance management of direct reports.
  • Contribute as a member of the Luxembourg senior management team to drive organizational success.
  • Manage deliverables from outsourced locations and oversee regulatory substance reviews.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues within the team.
  • Oversee resource planning and allocation while collaborating with wider teams across the organization.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with other teams, departments, and global offices.
  • Represent the Luxembourg fund accounting function in key global strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in and/or lead departmental initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Lead client due diligence visits and coordinate both internal and external audit reviews.
  • Manage client onboarding processes and oversee onsite/offsite due diligence work streams.
  • Oversee and ensure timely completion of all Luxembourg regulatory reporting by the team, in full compliance with requirements.
  • Support business development efforts by strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and contributing to proposals and presentations for prospective clients.

Your Experience

  • Ideally 10+ years of relevant industry experience in an operations environment.
  • Proven experience managing a Fund Accounting team and oversight of outsourced locations at a senior level.
  • Professional qualifications preferred (ACCA, CA, CAIA, CFA, CIMA).
  • Strong track record in Fund Accounting & Oversight or a similar role within the funds industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in production and review of NAV calculations & experience in financial statement preparation and review preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Private Market including diverse fund structures and instrument types.
  • Knowledge of Luxembourg funds and associated regulatory reporting is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of due diligence and onboarding of new business.
  • Strong client management skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships & proven leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and control-focused work environment.
  • Capable of working independently while contributing enthusiastically as part of a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage tight internal and client deadlines under pressure.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively both internally and externally.
