Get To Know The Team: 

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be the face of IT at SS&C, delivering on-site and near-site technology support to ensure seamless operations across our offices. Whether at corporate headquarters, critical offices, or regional branches, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting SS&C's technology infrastructure. This role requires hands-on technical expertise and a proactive approach to solving end-user issues, supporting real estate projects, and ensuring office technology is consistently optimized and functional.

What you will get to do:

On-Site and Near-Site Support:

  • Deliver hands-on support at corporate headquarters and critical offices.
  • Provide near-site support for regional branches, and satellite offices.
  • Act as the first line of defense for remote support, escalating to on-site/near-site as necessary.

Office Technology Setup and Configuration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain office technology including desktops, laptops, printers, and security/badging systems.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes with proper hardware and software setup.

Hands-On Device Support and Walk-Up Tech Bars:

  • Offer direct support for device issues through walk-up tech bars and scheduled on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently to minimize downtime.

Technology Support for Real Estate Projects:

  • Provide IT support for office moves, renovations, and new office openings, ensuring seamless technology integration.
  • Coordinate with real estate and facilities teams to set up network infrastructure, conferencing equipment, and end-user devices.

Enterprise System Administration:

  • Manage and support key systems including Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune for device management.
  • Deploy software and updates using Endpoint Central by Intune and SCCM and administer Office 365 environments.
  • Maintain security protocols by managing multi-factor authentication (MFA), password management solutions, and office access control systems.
  • Support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting of virtual desktops and servers.

Collaboration and Communication Tools:

  • Administer Team's for desktop and Team's / Zoom Conference Rooms to ensure seamless video conferencing experiences.
  • Manage telephony and virtual phone systems via RingCentral.

Security and Compliance:

  • Maintain compliance with corporate security standards by managing email/web filtering solutions and endpoint protection tools.
  • Monitor and manage device security to ensure data integrity and adherence to IT policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration of IT solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and industry best practices across all aspects of device management.

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with 2+ years of related IT experience.
  • Expertise in managing macOS environments using JAMF Pro.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems and end-user environments.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and system management.
  • Strong knowledge of Intune, SCCM, and Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with software installation, configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware repairs, including diagnosing and replacing faulty components such as hard drives, RAM, and batteries in laptops and desktops.
  • Proficient in upgrading system hardware, including RAM and storage, to optimize device performance.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting desktop peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations, and printers.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, compliance, and IT best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed.
