Job Description

Job Title: BDLink Associate Technical Solutions Consultant

Locations: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid)

About the Role

We're looking for an Associate Technical Solutions Consultant to join our BDLink team. This is a client-facing technical role where you'll configure, support, and maintain integration tools that connect our clients' APX environments to external systems. You'll be working directly with clients, troubleshooting complex issues, and helping shape improvements to our toolset as we evolve the process.

This role is ideal for someone who's comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys technical problem-solving, and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves when things get messy. We're actively making improvements to our toolset and processes, so you'll need to be adaptable as systems and approaches evolve.

Why Join SS&C

SS&C combines proprietary technology with deep industry expertise to support complex financial and health care operations. Our teams design, implement, and operate solutions that help clients manage data, automate processes, and scale their businesses with confidence.

How You Will Make an Impact

You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.

Post-Implementation Technical Support

Provide ongoing technical support for clients after their integration is live. This means troubleshooting issues, answering technical questions, and ensuring the integration continues to function properly as client needs evolve.

Client-Facing Technical Configuration

Configure the BDLink integration toolset on both self-hosted and Advent-hosted APX environments. This is your primary responsibility—you'll be working directly with clients to understand their environment and set up integrations that meet their needs.

Toolset Maintenance and Improvement

Help maintain and improve our configuration toolsets. As we learn what works and what doesn't, you'll contribute to making our tools more robust and easier to use.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with Implementation, Service, and Operations teams to diagnose and resolve issues. You'll need to coordinate across teams, share findings, and help identify root causes when problems span multiple systems.

Required Experience

Technical Foundation

Either prior experience configuring or maintaining integration toolsets, OR a strong demonstrated aptitude for learning complex technical systems quickly. We value the ability to learn over a specific tech stack.

Client-Facing Comfort

You'll be interacting directly with clients regularly—explaining technical concepts, gathering requirements, and troubleshooting issues collaboratively. You need to be comfortable in these conversations and able to translate technical details into language clients can understand.

Self-Directed Problem Solving

When issues arise, you'll often need to do your own discovery to figure out what's going wrong. This means being comfortable digging through logs, testing hypotheses, and piecing together information from multiple sources without a clear roadmap.

Adaptability

We're actively improving our toolset and processes, which means things will change. You need to be comfortable with shifting approaches, learning new systems, and adjusting to improvements as we make them.

Resilience

Integration work can be frustrating. Systems don't always behave as expected, issues can be hard to reproduce, and sometimes you'll encounter problems that don't have clean solutions. You need to be okay with that reality and able to maintain your focus and professionalism when things get difficult.

We're looking for someone with 2-7 years of relevant professional experience. This could be in technical support, implementation, systems integration, configuration management, or similar client-facing technical roles. If you're earlier in your career but have strong technical aptitude and relevant internship or project experience, we're still interested in talking.

What Makes This Role Interesting

You'll be joining the team at a pivotal time. We're actively improving our toolset, which means you'll have real input into how things work. This isn't a role where you'll just be following established procedures—you'll help shape them.

You'll get exposure to a wide range of technical challenges across different client environments and use cases. Every implementation has its own quirks, so you'll build deep troubleshooting skills and learn to think systematically about complex integrations.

You'll work with a team that values problem-solving and continuous improvement. We're invested in making our tools and processes better, and we want someone who's excited about that challenge.
