Data Entry Clerk 

 

What Will You Do? 
At SRC Logistics, we like to WIN, and have FUN doing so. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for reporting to the Data Analyst III. The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for correctly entering information into SRC Logistics- Illinois Inc. systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company. 
  • This position is customer facing and requires a professionalism at all times. 
  • Read source documents and work with responsible parties to ensure complete understanding of the request. 
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered or uploaded.
  • Compare data with source documents and re-enter data if errors are detected. 
  • Proactively review Criteria and work with Internal and external resources to verify accuracy and relevance. 
  • Store completed documents in appropriate locations. 
  • Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors. 
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work. 
  • Select materials needed to complete work assignments. 
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established OSHA requirements. 
  • Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas. 
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Work is performed mostly in a controlled atmosphere; may be exposed to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Sitting 65%, Walking/standing 35%. Ability to lift and carry up 50 lbs.

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • High School diploma or GED is required. 
  • 1-3 years of data entry experience is required. 
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required. 
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required.
  • SQL Knowledge is a Plus but not required. 
  • Must have good basic math skills. 
  • Must be extremely reliable, desire to learn and succeed and a high level of energy.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills are preferred 
  • Requires the desire to expand personal competencies and capabilities through training and education.
