At SRC, we do things differently. Our associates take pride in their reputation as businesspeople who understand how they impact our bottom line. Their excellent technical skills – accompanied by their role as employee-owners – has become our legacy.

Sales Account Manager (Springfield, MO)

We're looking for a relationship-driven Sales Account Manager who understands how to support OEM customers while growing strategic business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer service, technical collaboration, and consultative selling — someone who builds trust, solves problems, and identifies opportunities others miss.

You'll own key OEM relationships, influence cross-functional execution, and help shape long-term commercial strategy. If you've supported complex manufacturing customers, navigated demanding supply chains, and enjoy turning strong service into sustained growth, this is a high-visibility role with meaningful impact.

What you'll do:

  • Own Key Customer Relationships
    1. Act as the primary commercial and service contact for assigned OEM accounts.
    2. Build strong working relationships across procurement, engineering, operations, and leadership levels.
    3. Anticipate customer needs and proactively strengthen partnership value.
  • Deliver Best-in-Class Customer Experience
    1. Ensure consistent, responsive communication and follow-through.
    2. Coordinate internally with production, materials, quality, engineering, and finance to meet customer expectations.
    3. Manage escalations professionally while balancing customer advocacy with business objectives.
  • Drive Account Growth Through Relationship Selling
    • Identify new programs, product opportunities, and service improvements.
    • Translate customer insight into actionable commercial opportunities.
    • Prepare quotes, proposals, and business cases focused on long-term profitability.
  • Provide Strategic Customer Insight
    • Manage forecasting and communicate demand trends internally.
    • Identify opportunities with the customer through market intelligence and feedback to deliver solutions
    • Contribute to sales strategy development and executive presentations, including the semi-annual Sales & Marketing Strategy presentation for the SRC Holdings Board of Directors.
    • Represent the company at customer reviews, trade events, and industry engagements.
    • Travel as needed, approximately 33% to meet objectives above

Strong Candidates Will Have:

  • Proven success managing OEM or manufacturing customer accounts.
  • Ability to blend customer service excellence with commercial awareness.
  • Confidence handling challenging conversations while preserving relationships.
  • Experience working cross-functionally inside manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or marine environments.
  • Strong organizational presence and professional credibility with customers.

As an employee-owner, you must have a teammate mentality and strong interpersonal skills. An employee-owner is proactive, upholds commitments and is continually learning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (business, engineering, or technical field); relevant experience considered.
  • Experience supporting OEM, industrial, automotive, or technical customers strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of previous successful selling relationships.
  • CRM experience and solid Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident in a variety of settings
  • Requires effective relationship management skills with co-workers in a team environment and with customers in a sales and support context.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to travel 33% of time. Valid Driver's License required.

 Rewards for you:

  • Competitive compensation package with opportunity for growth in your career
  • Affordable and comprehensive insurance on your 61st day of employment
  • Bonus opportunity
  • Paid Time Off Program and 11 paid Holidays
  • 5% 401(k) match
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • 100% Tuition Reimbursement
