We are currently hiring a Quality Inspector to join our team! This is a first shift position working 5am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday with overtime required as needed. 

Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector provides visual, gauging, and instrument inspections/quality checks on random samples of in-process and finished goods parts and materials to ensure that they meet customer specifications.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assists in planning and performs quality auditing, inspection, and testing programs for in-process and finished good parts.
  • Verifies identification of part and supplier. Performs inspection procedures including checking dimensions of related surfaces, holes, etc., as well as assessment of finish and hardness and detection of cracks or other defects. 
  • Makes recommendation on disposition of questionable product to supervisor.
  • Assists supervisors with follow-up checks on quality problems and assist in determining the causes and preventing repeated quality problems.
  • Assist in maintaining SRC Automotive's quality system certifications including IATF 16949:2016.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience in engine manufacturing or related field 
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 
  • Requires effective relationship management skills with co-workers in a team environment and with customers/prospects in a sales/support context.
  • Basic computer literacy/experience required. Working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, e-mail, and Web-enabled applications. 
  • Ability to frequently lift 35-50 pounds
