The Intelligence Programs Group (IPG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, is a specialized provider of systems engineering and trusted advisory services to the Space and National Intelligence community.  We utilize mission-proven, data-driven advisory tools and capabilities.  We provide highly technical support to ensure the government acquires cutting edge technology necessary for our National Defense.  Our portfolio includes the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).  Come where you will be part of our high-caliber team!

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer/Outreach.  


Responsibilities

SPA is looking for a Systems Engineer/Outreach with Space Domain experience in Chantilly, VA to support a very dynamic and innovative space program office. In this position, you will provide technical support, coaching and mentoring Government points of contact (GPOCs) relative to ongoing capability development activities happening across diverse geographically located contractor facilities. You will be coordinating multiple scopes of work such as major program reviews and Space Vehicle Pre-Ship Review (PSR).

 

This role requires knowledge of intelligence processes and plans, excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to create unique work products, while having the ability to be strategically proactive. Will directly support the GPOC overseeing Outreach Communication providing critical insight into the prime contractor's execution of Strategic IC Communication.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship with TS/SCI + Poly clearance at date of application
    • Please discuss specific polygraph requirements with an SPA Talent Acquisition professional
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field and 9 years of experience or a Masters and 4 years of experience
  • Familiarity with DoW/IC acquistion lifecycle, programming, and SOW compliance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills within high pressure environments
  • Experience in reviewing installation/test procedures, monitoring execution, identifying risks, discrepancy resolution, and on-site support
  • Ability to report to designated work location in Chantilly, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • INCOSE, ESEP or CSEP
  • Experience using systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to develop, implement, and deploy solutions for Satellite Systems
  • Thorough understanding of space systems design, integration and test requirements and test execution, including test equipment support
