Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  • At least 12 years of experience in strategic deterrence and global strike planning, including in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) operations and capabilities, strategic nuclear operations, joint integrated operations, joint warfighting doctrine, unified Combatant Command (CCMD) structure, and global command and control constructs.
  • Knowledge and experience in critical command and control requirements, inclusive of NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities and procedures.
  • Knowledge of national, Department of Defense (DoD), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance,  CJCS Emergency Action Procedures, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Emergency Action Procedures, CJCS Instructions, and Presidential Policy Directives.  

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  •  Masters or PhD degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  •  5 years or more experience in supporting USSTRATCOM Global Operations Center (GOC) and/or other operations centers at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or DoD levels.
  •  Experience in the NC2 operational platforms, communications, and modes of operations.


Responsibilities

Supports GOC mission system service requirements, including situation monitoring and decision-making systems and services, IT engineering and integration services, secure and non-secure voice and data systems, and National Nuclear, Command and Control, Communications, and Computer (N2C4) System Engineering and Integration. Responsibilities also encompass Human User Interface Control systems and services, as well as support for console design and integration. The position requires demonstrated capability in at least one of the following areas: Computer System Services; Data Management Services; and Systems Integration.
