SPA has a need for a Payroll Accountant. 


Responsibilities

The successful candidate will process labor corrections in Costpoint; reconcile labor each payroll cycle; conduct monthly audits of benefit deductions; process quarterly disability benefits; monitor and maintain timesheet floor checks; prepare affiliated GL account reconciliations; back up semi-monthly labor, leave, and payroll processing; and assist with W-2 year-end function and new hire employee orientation. This individual will also perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

· U.S. Citizenship.

· Bachelors Degree (Business or Accounting).

· Minimum 2 years payroll experience in Government contracting environment.

· 2 years of Costpoint experience.

· Detailed oriented with strong organizational, analytical thinking and computer skills (Excel).

· Working knowledge of accounting concepts and ability to create journal entries and reconciliations.

· Experience with Employee Central Payroll desired.

· Must work under general supervision and follow standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
