Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  • At least 12 years of experience in strategic deterrence and global strike planning, including in-depth knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) operations and capabilities, strategic nuclear operations, joint integrated operations, joint warfighting doctrine, unified Combatant Command (CCMD) structure, and global command and control constructs.
  • Knowledge and experience in critical command and control requirements, inclusive of NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities and procedures.
  • Knowledge of national, Department of Defense (DoD), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance,  CJCS Emergency Action Procedures, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Emergency Action Procedures, CJCS Instructions, and Presidential Policy Directives.  

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  •  Masters or PhD degree in engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture.
  •  5 years or more experience in supporting USSTRATCOM Global Operations Center (GOC) and/or other operations centers at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or DoD levels.
  •  Experience in the NC2 operational platforms, communications, and modes of operations.


Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect (Mission Systems Services Manager): Responsible for the overall management of the GOC Mission System Services task order(s) and ensuring technical and financial solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. Organizes, directs and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects. Manages GOC mission systems and communications systems to assure operational requirements are met and system modernization is aligned to the operational environment and needs. Leads and manages projects and deliverables from GOC mission system engineers, architects and mission capability experts. Demonstrates competent writing and oral communication skills. Ensures timely delivery of quality products and services.
