The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

 

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis. SSAG is hiring for a full-time Associate Operations Research Analyst at HQ USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE.


Responsibilities

The Associate Operations Research Analyst supports project teams by contributing to analytical efforts that evaluate the performance, resilience, and mission effectiveness of Department of War programs and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems. In this role, the analyst assists with data collection, specification reviews, and the development of system-of-systems models of NC3 architectures using commercial and proprietary Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. The position participates in modeling and simulation activities designed to examine operational scenarios and assess system behavior, mission assurance, and performance trends. The analyst performs post-processing and interpretation of modeling outputs to identify risks, operational insights, and key performance metrics. This role also helps prepare technical presentations, written reports, and other deliverables that communicate analytical findings and recommendations to customers. Additionally, the analyst engages in customer meetings and briefings, providing analytic support and contributing to discussions related to NC3 modeling, simulation results, and system-of-systems analysis.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility, along with eligibility for Nuclear Command and Control – Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2‑ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Special Access Required (SAR) programs on day one, and be able to maintain all required clearances and program eligibilities throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work full-time (5 days/week) onsite at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB).
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, physical science, operations research, data science, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • 0-2 years' experience with systems engineering methods, tools, and processes.
  • 0-2 years' experience using Modeling and Simulation software to represent physical systems and conduct statistical analysis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting analysis for the DoW.
  • Experience supporting NC3 or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system-of-systems analysis, including mission-level modeling and operational assessments.
  • Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw, Sparks EA).
  • Experience with MBSE languages and frameworks (SysML, UML, UAF, or UPDM).
  • Experience using Python, “R”, or other programming languages.
  • Experience using data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).
