The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force's Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. We work tirelessly to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command. We provide clear and consistent analysis and recommendations which are aligned to strategic and leadership goals while balancing the ability to execute on time and on budget within the technical communities. Responsibilities Key duties associated with this position include but are not limited to the following: Implement, execute, and support organizational and business operations processes, including collecting metrics on the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and analyzing those metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement. Recommend process changes to include the associated impact on process efficiency and implementation costs. Track, assess, integrate, coordinate, and submit tasker responses for approval. This includes coordinating the final version of a staffed and coordinated written package with all identified parties and Directorate leadership to ensure all key Directorate personnel and leaders are sufficiently informed regarding the purpose, issues addressed, and responses provided to resolve any questions or issues raised by higher headquarters or outside agency personnel. Prepare final response package for the Director's review/approval for release to external tasking agencies and managing the Directorate Task Management Tool account IAW the SSC Tasker Management Business Rules. Qualifications Active Secret clearance Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years of experience Experience with DoD acquisition regulation, guidance, and activities to include milestones, documentation, planning, programming, budget, and execution requirements Understanding of latest SSC, Space Force, and DoD directives and initiatives Understanding of the Military Decision-Making Process Experience using tools, repositories, and databases including SharePoint, Livelink, Excel, Access, Project, Task Management Tracker, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communications and critical thinking Ability to report to designated work location in El Segundo, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
