As a SONIC Carhop, you are part of an elite group, filling a role offered by no other company. Being a Carhop (aka super cool food server) is like being an astronaut, only you work in a drive-in restaurant instead of space, and the food's way better. You're responsible for serving and delivering that food safely and efficiently, ensuring our guests have a truly out-of-this-world experience at SONIC Drive-In restaurants.br /br /SONIC Carhop/Skating Carhop server duties may include:br /br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Ensuring that all restaurant menu items meet operational standardsbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Greeting all guests in a polite and friendly manner with a smilebr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Making accurate change quickly and efficiently for restaurant guestsbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Carrying and balancing a tray weighing up to 25 poundsbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Serving our guests in a timely mannerbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Clearing trays from our guests' carsbr /br /Depending upon the employment practices of the individual SONIC Drive-In restaurant owner, some SONIC Drive-Ins employ Skating Carhop servers:br /br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Skating Carhop servers are unique to the SONIC Drive-In restaurant brand and bring a special quot;surprise and br / delightquot; element to the guest experience.br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Skating Carhop servers must complete the SONIC Skating Training Program.br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp; Upon successful completion of this program, Skating Carhops perform the above duties while roller skating.br /br /br /In the words of one of our Skating Carhop servers:br /br /quot;From where I'm skating, working at SONIC is a blast and the tips are great too!quot;br /br /br /What Youapos;ll Need:br /br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Contagiously positive attitude (You are a SONIC Brand Ambassador!)br /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Ability to remain calm, especially in tough situationsbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Resilient spirit – knowing everyone makes mistakes and can bounce back from a set-backbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Eagerness to learn and growbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Team mentality and willingness to help where neededbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Effective communication skills; basic math and reading skillsbr /emsp;emsp;bull;nbsp;nbsp;Willingness to work flexible hours; night, weekend, and holiday shiftsbr /br /br /The Fine Print:br /br /As required by applicable law, SONIC Drive-In franchise organizations will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.br /br /Each franchise organization is an independent employer and thus responsible for making its own employment-related decisions.
