We are seeking a talented, motivated, and service-minded individual to join the team as a Production Coordinator in our Phoenix, Arizona location. Every day Smyth brings our customers' labels and packaging to life, creating a customer experience that is second to none, and enabling them to stand out over the competition. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Key responsibilities for Production Coordinator include: 

  • Management of cycle counts, inventory and supply purchases, including ordering, monitoring, receiving, and authorizing of payment
  • Ensuring equipment is inspected, utilizing evaluation checklist and service logs; scheduling outside vendor service and/or maintenance based on service agreements 
  • Overseeing production quality inspections and signoffs based on facility standards
  • Assisting management with administrative tasks, such as: document preparation and file management; data entry into relevant systems, databases, spreadsheets and organizational software; special project facilitation; handling calls, emails, memos, appointment scheduling
  • Working with internal recruiting resources to screen potential new hires

 The ideal candidate for Production Coordinator must demonstrate:         

  • Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple long- and short-term projects meeting all related deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and high degree of attention to detail
  • Independent judgment, proactive thinking, and strong analytical capabilities 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of people inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, supervisory, leadership, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities

Education, Experience and Credentials  

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: 2+ Year's related experience; experience in similar role preferred
  • Preferred: Experience in the flexo printing industry
  • Preferred: Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO/BRC quality systems
