Schedule: 3 days/week • 12.25-hour shifts
Overtime: Paid after 40 hrs/week; at least one OT shift available per month

About the RoleAs an Ink Technician at Smyth's Minneapolis facility, you will mix, blend, and color-match flexographic inks that bring labels and packaging to life for nationally recognized brands. If you have a background in chemical inks and a sharp eye for color, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities- Blend, mix, and color-match chemical-based flexographic inks
- Perform press-side color matching and operate color computer
- Coordinate press job set-ups and authorize jobs for color sign-off
- Organize and return inks before and after press runs
- Clean anilox rolls using Flexo Wash equipment and store properly
- Maintain inventory control and monitor hazardous waste areas
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic math skills; ability to use a tape measure and convert measurements
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Experience with chemical inks and flexographic printing
- Color matching skills and knowledge of inks and films
- Familiarity with IMS and X-Rite Spectrophotometer software
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or ISO quality systems
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency
