This is a fulltime day shift position working on a consistent 7:00 am - 7:00 pm rotating schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning tasks per the Master Sanitation and Deep Cleaning Schedules, adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
Perform preventive maintenance on CIP equipment.
Investigate pre-operational failures by conducting and documenting thorough root cause analyses while troubleshooting CIP equipment to support efficient sanitation turnover times.
Carry out pathogen environmental monitoring activities, including sampling, shipment coordination, and documentation within Schreiber's quality management system database.
Perform routine chemical titrations to verify that concentration levels remain within specified ranges.
Ensure compliance with plant response to Special Events and escalate Special Events to Food Safety/ Sanitation Manager.
Interact with equipment monitoring software to ensure proper CIP thresholds are met.
Maintain all bulk chemical areas including receiving bulk chemical trucks, cleaning, and repairing chemical supply pumps.
Rebuild hoses, check valves, pumps, and valves as needed.
Clean all drains in the plant according to the Master Sanitation Schedule using the correct tools, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning chemicals.
Participate in the Emergency Response Team (ERT) including respirator fit testing, ERT PPE fit for duty, team review of Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Hazardous Materials Incident Response Operations OSHA 1910,120 training and certification, first aid training and certification, and emergency response exercises.
Clean and remove trash from common production areas.
Demonstrate safe and effective use of housekeeping and chemical equipment/solutions.
Disinfect and sterilize equipment and utensils as needed, using the appropriate chemicals and equipment.
Take all appropriate and required precautions when disposing of trash and chemical containers.
Keep carts properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies; ensure all chemicals are properly labeled and all chemical equipment is in good working condition.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers as required.
Support all departments for sanitation cycles/CIP, providing required chemicals and utensils to the area.
Accurately complete the necessary paperwork to ensure all pre-op / PEM documentation requirements are met and can enter in Schreiber's quality management system database.
Report any evidence of pests identified during routine cleaning tasks to the Supervisor.
Complete non-routine janitorial/sanitation tasks as assigned.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
May have contact with federal/state/regulatory inspectors on an annual basis.
Understand and adhere to all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
This position requires the ability to work with dairy and nut products in addition to other related ingredients and allergens.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous food manufacturing, sanitation, or janitorial experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Ability to be forklift, pallet jack, and floor scrubber certified.
Ability to be Lockout Tagout (LOTO) certified.
Certified in Hazardous Materials Incident Response Operations OSHA 1910,120 and First Aid Training as part of the Emergency Response Team.

Ability to exchange basic informational data (fill out forms/checklists, copy data from one record to another, write shift overviews, etc.)
