Position Key Responsibilities
Leads the development of new products and processes and implements
the use of new ingredients and technologies to improve efficiency, sales,
and profitability to Schreiber Foods. Work in production and pilot plant
locations. Develop defined work plans, conduct experiments, writes
reports, and has a comprehensive understanding of the department
procedures. Effectively handles pressures that may come from
customers, suppliers, partners and management. Daily
Applies an understanding of Schreiber Foods' core and future products
and process categories while working with partners in different parts of
the organization to solve problems and improve quality. Works
collaboratively within the R&D department and product development
team to find opportunities, understand processes and test new
experiments and ideas. Weekly
Develops a good understanding of Schreiber Foods philosophies, processes and systems and uses this knowledge to meet customer requirements; works to establish a network within Schreiber Foods to effectively get projects completed; maintains good understanding of the food industry and competitors that impact Schreiber Foods; maintains a network of key contacts within the industry. Has a good understanding of regulatory standards, labeling issues, and
practices. Period
Exercise excellent listening and communication skills, such as conveying
technical concepts to others, writing detailed technical reports, and
effectively conducting presentations to inform and influence decisions of
others. Daily
Become skilled in new ingredient and formula set-up by developing
specifications, plant procedures, and formula guidelines. Plan and
conduct scale-up trials for product development. Commercialize newly
developed prototypes, and achieve technological breakthroughs.
Candidate Key Ingredients
Education Bachelors Field of study Research & Development
Years of Experience >3 Experience in Experience in food manufacturing and in product development, ideally in more than one of the following: development of cream cheese, process cheese, aseptic processing, and hydrocolloids. Knowledge of DOE and data analysis tools and statistical software. History of leading successful new product development from concept to implementation and commercial sale.
Additional language: required besides local and English N/A
Annual Percentage of Travel 25%
