Job Description Summary
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing Schreiber's day-to-day operations and ensuring the efficient and effective execution of business strategies in Latin America. This role collaborates with senior leadership to develop operational strategies for the region and ensures key project and strategic objectives are met through the allocation of company resources.
Role & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
Oversee daily operations throughout LatAm, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities to improve productivity and cost-effeciency.
Manage operational budgets, forecast expenses and allocate resources to optimize financial performance and capital projects.
Lead and develop partners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project and business deliverables
Determine and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards, while also mitigating operational risks.
Identify potential Capital improvements going through the analysis justification and approval process. Manage or assist in the management of capital projects.
Drives waste out of Operations by reducing variation through effective implementation of process management. Accountability will be continued improvement on converting goals, variable and fixed costs.
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.
Active in supporting the local community, in line with Schreiber's values and objectives to “Do Good Though Food”.
Key ingredients:
Bachelor's in Business, Food Science, Dairy Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing and similar roles within a mid to large sized manufacturing facility.
English fluency required, Spanish and Portuguese fluency preferred
Ability to learn and adapt to local culture while living and teaching Schreiber values
Ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies
