Schreiber Foods, Inc. has an opening for a Controls Engineer in West Bend, WI.
Duties include:
1. Execute Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls projects against commitments (cost, schedule, and performance) while adhering to Schreiber's Enterprise Project Management (EPM) principles.
2. Coach and train plant maintenance team members on electrical automation topics.
3. Manage and oversee performance of electrical and engineering contractors.
4. Improve production efficiency and uptime through identification and implementation of controls optimization opportunities.
5. Proactively monitor and maintain plant control systems including network health, controller functionality, obsolesce management.
6. Establish and maintain electrical, automation, and controls related standards.
7. Develop Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Human-Machine Interface (HMI), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and data reporting/dashboard solutions utilizing scripting and database systems to realize performance and safety improvements through operations systems.
8. Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
Requirements: Employer will accept a minimum of a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience should include the following:
1. 36 months of experience in electrical control system programming
2. 36 months of experience in electrical system design
3. 36 months of experience with power distribution
4. 36 months of experience with project management and equipment installations
5. Experience in creating flow charts, construction drawings, or other graphical methods to communicate intent to internal and external audiences.
6. Knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E and electrical theory.
