Provides coordination and operational support for plant maintenance activities across multiple manufacturing units to support equipment reliability and production continuity.
What you'll do
Maintenance Coordination Support
- Coordinate day‑to‑day maintenance activities across multiple plant business units.
- Support alignment of maintenance schedules with production plans and priorities.
- Communicate maintenance activity status, delays, and completion updates to relevant stakeholders.
Multi‑Unit Interface & Follow‑Up
- Act as a coordination point between maintenance teams and production units such as UHT, Cheese, Dryer, Powder, Utilities, and Main Plant.
- Track maintenance requests, breakdowns, and planned activities across units.
- Escalate unresolved issues or risks to maintenance supervisors or team advisors.
Maintenance Execution Assistance
- Support maintenance teams during preventive maintenance, breakdowns, shutdowns, and changeovers.
- Ensure required work permits, job cards, tools, and documentation are available before maintenance execution.
- Assist in monitoring adherence to maintenance schedules and work instructions.
Documentation, Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdown logs, and work orders.
- Update maintenance systems and registers as per defined procedures.
- Prepare basic maintenance MIS reports such as downtime summaries, pending jobs, and coordination trackers.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance Support
- Ensure maintenance coordination activities comply with plant safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality requirements.
- Support statutory inspections, calibrations, and compliance‑related maintenance activities.
- Report safety hazards, deviations, or non‑compliance observed during maintenance activities.
Continuous Improvement Support
- Support maintenance and reliability teams by providing data and coordination assistance for root cause analysis.
- Identify recurring maintenance issues and share observations with maintenance leadership.
- Participate in plant initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
Scope & Decision Making
- Works under clear supervision and defined procedures.
- Decision‑making is limited to coordination, prioritization support, and information flow.
- Refers complex technical or operational decisions to maintenance leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
Technical Awareness
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility maintenance activities.
- Familiarity with preventive and breakdown maintenance concepts in a manufacturing environment.
Support & Coordination Skills
- Strong follow‑up, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across different plant areas.
- Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
Additional expectation
- Role requires regular interaction with shop‑floor teams and exposure to plant operations.
What you will need to succeed
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in: Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation / Automation
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in: Dairy / Food / FMCG / Process industry or Hands-on exposure to plant maintenance systems and automation
Mandatory Requirement: Electrical Supervisor License
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of: Electrical systems, motors, drives, panels/ PLC/SCADA systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred)
Experience in: Dairy processing equipment & utilities/ Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot system faults
