This internship provides structured exposure to enterprise strategy, industry analysis, growth planning, and internal performance measurement.   This role is designed for students who are ready to move beyond basic coursework and contribute meaningfully to strategic business priorities. The Strategy Intern will work closely with the Strategy team and other leaders across the business to develop insights, support growth frameworks, and help translate data into actionable recommendations.   Why being a Savage intern is compelling: Exposure to a diverse range of industries across 200+ global locations, including agriculture, mining, trucking, oil & gas, and more Real-world experience contributing to meaningful business outcomes Direct interaction with strategy leaders and business stakeholders across multiple industries Competitive pay A clear path to potential full-time employment A company culture built on integrity, growth, and opportunity What you'll be doing: Conduct industry and market research to identify trends, risks, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities Support the development of growth frameworks, strategic assessments, and business case materials Analyze internal performance metrics and summarize insights that help leaders understand business performance Synthesize data from internal and external sources into clear, concise presentations and executive-ready summaries Collaborate with the Strategy team and cross-functional partners on strategic initiatives and special projects Qualifications: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly Self-motivated and a team player with a “can-do” attitude Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, research sources, and business performance metrics Interest in corporate strategy, growth, operations, market analysis, or business transformation Experience working and collaborating in a team environment Education: Currently pursuing a degree in business, finance, economics, strategy, analytics, supply chain, or a related field; minimum GPA 3.3 Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: Position is largely sedentary in a climate-controlled office environment Sitting for extended periods of time, up to 6-10 hours per day, while working at a computer or desk Frequently uses hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, and operating office tools Reads printed materials and computer screens, adjusts focus, and maintains attention to detail Hears and speaks frequently to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or via virtual platforms Ability to lift, push, pull, and reach office-related supplies, files, chairs, and carts Ability to move for short periods between work areas to attend meetings or retrieve materials Exposed to standard office-related materials and substances, with low-to-moderate noise levels If applicable, during operations visits, you may be required by the site or customer to wear PPE, including but not limited to respirators, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed footwear, fire-resistant and/or high-visibility clothing, and hearing protection
