We are currently seeking a motivated, customer service-oriented Web Developer.
This role develops and maintains websites and web applications using a combination of web technologies, as detailed below. The web developer provides content administration on multiple Content Management System platforms, including Drupal, SharePoint, and Google Sites by publishing, updating, and removing content as needed. The web developer creates graphic media using Adobe Creative Cloud applications and maintains Acrobat forms using Adobe Experience Manager Forms Designer. This role directly engages with customers to scope and document their requirements for web projects or content publications and provides them with clear, professional communication, whether written or verbal. The position requires a positive customer-focused personality, creative problem-solving skills, high technical aptitude, being well-organized, the ability to multitask, and strong communication skills.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Collaborate with a development team on extending a suite of rapid application development tools that rely on PHP, SQL, JavaScript (with extensive AJAX/XHR), CSS, and HTML.
- Apply thorough knowledge of varying browsers, platforms, and devices to create durable and responsive front-end code.
- Provide content administration on all agency platforms (Drupal, SharePoint, Google Sites, and non-CMS intranet) by publishing, updating, and removing content as needed.
- Create graphic media such as web templates and content-related imagery using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (especially Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Handle people coordination for projects that require thorough and timely communication with diverse teams of stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain Acrobat forms using Adobe Experience Manager Forms Designer.
- Train non-technical content editors to be self-sufficient contributors and publishers on the Drupal, SharePoint, and Google Sites platforms.
- Write technical documentation for supported systems.
- Contribute strategic input to long-term solution stack and infrastructure decisions.
- Create, monitor, and resolve work tickets for web assignments using ServiceNow.
- Other related duties as assigned by the IT Contract Supervisor.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of work experience as a web developer or programmer.
- Must be able to work physically on-site at the Western Federal Lands Highway Division facility in Vancouver, Washington five days per week, eight hours per day.
- Must possess a High School Diploma. Degree may be substituted with 4 additional years of related experience.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and gain a Public Trust Determination.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder who has resided in the U.S. for at least 3 years and who has the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
