SAIC is seeking a motivated and ambitious Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) Test Engineer to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center – Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center in Huntsville, AL.  The UAS Systems Engineer will provide systems engineering, mission architecting and analysis support.

Job Duties:

• Research emerging technology trends to design innovative software solutions which meet customer requirements.
• Direct, conduct, and document setup, software/hardware configuration, operation, troubleshooting and analysis of M&S software and operational computer systems.
• Perform system level installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis on Multi-layer Switches and Linux based operating systems.
• Automate the creation and configuration of Virtual Machines.
• Apply specific principles of computer science and software engineering to further direct and refine customer requirements according to operational specifications, software requirements, and state-of-the-art engineering techniques.
• Direct and oversee software developers and systems engineers in the design and integration of software solutions for the military which involves thorough analysis and evaluation of Government Furnished Information (GFI) and the customer's refined requirements.
• Assign tasks and track the development of engaging and effective Interactive Multimedia Instruction software for military customers for distribution across the Department of Defense (DoD) using the Agile scrum Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Plan, direct, conduct, and document predefined test procedures of developed software through distribution and implementation.
• Integrate and implement software systems with simulator platforms for test, demonstration, and deployment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree and (5) five and years of relevant experience; Masters degree and (3) three years of relevant experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Security Clearance:

• Must have an active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
