SAIC has an immediate need for Terminal Instrument Procedure Specialist (TERPS) to support Army Instrument Approach Procedures Branch.
NOTE: This is a 100% remote opportunity
Duties:
• Review and develop Army IAPs IAW Army, FAA, ICAO, and PANS-OPS standards.
• Review host nation IFPs for compliance with TERPS and PANS-OPS criteria.
• Support actions for IFPs and airfields, obstruction evaluations, and airspace actions.
• Evaluate and support the effect of proposed obstructions, altered or deactivated airports, NAVAID outages and revisions impacting IFPs, airspace, or facility concerns.
• Have expert knowledge to utilize programs such as AIS, GPD, ASPS, DTED, DVOF, and the DAFIF for evaluating and tracking various programs.
• Maintain NOTAMs for airfields and IFPs in support of U.S. Army requirements.
• Support USAASA to evaluate airfield engineering and operational criteria related to IFPs.
• Support coordination of requested airport data changes for Army IFPs
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• BS degree and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and zero (0) years experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills:
• Military or Civilian Accredited TERPS course with proof or verification of completion.
• Direct recent experience in TERPS development work.
• Working knowledge of the DOD TERPS, ICAO/NATO and FAA criteria, policies and procedures.
• Fixed-wing and helicopter TERPS, fixed-based, and foreign IFP experience
• Must accomplish clear and concise general and technical writing, prepare and conduct effective technical presentations, provide project monitoring and reporting, and tactfully coordinate with project stake holders.
Required Clearance:
• Must have an active Interim Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance.
