SAIC is seeking an experienced System Integrator to support a mission-critical Department of the Air Force C3BM program in the DC Metro Area. This role ensures the seamless integration and operational readiness of advanced systems across ground nodes, aerial nodes, and cloud environments. The System Integrator will lead the installation, configuration, and integration of mission systems while ensuring compliance with technical, security, and operational requirements. Key responsibilities include ensuring system interoperability, real-time performance optimization, and secure integration processes. The selected candidate will work closely with Field Service Representatives (FSRs), government stakeholders, and mission partners to deliver reliable, mission-ready systems. The position is onsite in Arlington, VA. 

The primary duties of the System Integrator include leading the installation, configuration, and integration of hardware, software, and network systems across aerial and ground mission nodes while adhering to performance, reliability, and security standards. The role also involves overseeing system-level testing to validate mission readiness and performance, including managing Kubernetes-based and air-gapped environments and deploying zarf packages. As part of fault resolution, the candidate will coordinate with the ABMS Enterprise Service Desk, systems administrators, and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, utilizing approved ticketing systems to track progress and provide actionable metrics. Maintaining accurate documentation is critical, with responsibilities including the development of system configuration records and providing quarterly metrics and trend analysis to Government Program Offices and leadership. Furthermore, the System Integrator will ensure compliance with DoD security protocols and operational standards by leveraging software bill of materials (SBOMs) and proper configuration practices. This contingent position offers the opportunity to be a critical part of a collaborative team working toward the success of a high-priority mission.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI. 

A bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Candidates must have 14-17 years of experience in systems integration, configuration management, and operational readiness within DoD or Government environments. Expertise in managing complex ground and aerial systems while working with cloud and Kubernetes-based architectures is essential.

Applicants must also possess at least one of the following certifications: Certified Network Defender (CND), CompTIA Security+ or higher (e.g., CASP+ or Cloud+), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) including specialties such as CISSP-ISSAP (Architecture) or CISSP-ISSEP (Engineering). Other acceptable certifications include Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC) such as GDSA (GIAC Defensible Security Architecture), GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification), GCIA (GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst), GCLD (GIAC Cloud Security Essentials), GICSP (GIAC Industrial Cyber Security Specialist), Certified Information Systems Security Officer (CISSO), or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP). An active SECRET clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI, is required for consideration.

Desired Qualifications:  A master's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is highly desirable. Candidates should have extensive experience deploying, monitoring, and validating Kubernetes-based integrations, including air-gapped software deployments using zarf packages. Familiarity with modern DevSecOps practices for system integration and lifecycle management is preferred.

Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Institute Certified Practitioner, or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are an asset. Knowledge of CI/CD processes and SBOM methodologies is also highly valued. Lastly, candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely present metrics, strategies, and resolutions to senior leadership.
