SAIC is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the GCDN/OCP program in Charleston, SC location. This position is 100% remote.
The candidate will:
- Serve as the technical lead and subject-matter expert for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Combat Data Networks (CDN) and Operational Command Posts (OCP) across global and tactical deployments.
- Develop secure, scalable communications infrastructures, ensuring interoperability and mission-aligned functionality for CDN and OCP solutions.
- Lead teams in building and integrating CDN systems to enable high-performance data transport and real-time analytics support in command post operations.
- Architect and oversee the deployment of OCP systems, including tactical shelters, mobile command platforms, and secure communications hubs.
- Manage the engineering process from concept to completion, including requirements definition, system design, testing, and operational readiness.
- Develop and implement controls, processes, and enhancements to ensure the security, reliability, and operational effectiveness of military-grade CDN/OCP systems in contingency and forward-deployed environments.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and 9 yrs or more experience.
- Must be a US Citizen with an ACTIVE secret clearance.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
