SAIC is seeking System Administrators to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS.
The ideal candidate will be located in the National Capital Region.
Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.
The System Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and maintain the infrastructure that powers networks and operating systems such as UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
- Install and configure hardware and software, manage user accounts and permissions, monitor system performance, troubleshoot (Tier 1-3) issues, mobile devices, and implement and ensure compliance with applicable system security controls.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Ensure IT Assets remain compliant with Identity & Access Control Management (ICAM) policy and communicate and coordinate system changes.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Experience with ServiceNow platform.
- Proficiency in developing and executing SQL queries to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Experience with SQL scripting, Java, Windows Server, Linux, Oracle, Tomcat, data backups, and load balancing.
- Knowledge and understanding of Trusted Thin Client and enhanced VDI (e.g., remote GPU and memory scaling).
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Level II: Bachelors and 5-8 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Level III: Bachelors and 9-17 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Desired Qualifications:
- IAT certification
- ITIL v4 platform certification
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
