SAIC is looking for a Strategic Analyst to provide dedicated Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Nuclear Enterprise Support Directorate, Mission Assurance Division. The Strategic Analyst provides technical advice and assistance support to the division leadership and administrative support to the Balanced Survivability Assessment (BSA) Program.

Conduct complex Gap Analysis in collaboration with the DTRA Mission Assurance personnel to identify gaps in vulnerability assessments across all DoD critical assets and NC3 assets. Develop and maintain trend analysis data collection process in collaboration with the Trends Analysis office. Candidate will perform duties as the NC3 BSA Mission Analyst; conducting mission decomposition for NC3 assessments.

Primary duties include:


  • Leverage all sources of information and MA databases to identify mission impact of identified vulnerabilities
  • Prepare briefs to Joint Staff and senior leaders as required
  • Maintain internal virtual library for Balance Survivability Assessment (BSA) Leadership (Unclassified and Classified Networks) and conduct mission decomposition for NC3 assessments as required
  • Address requests for information from agencies / offices internal and external to DTRA
  • Attend Mission Assurance senior level meetings and other operational sync meetings
  • Perform Strategic Planning duties; Executive Strategy Manager (ESM) - Assist in management and reporting of MA Programs in the ESM system
  • Assist in gathering data and answering EIS taskers as assigned

Qualifications

  • Understanding of J10MA assessment programs
  • Possesses advanced military Staff/War College training, strong writing and briefing skills, and coaching and leading skills (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, team player
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree highly desirable

Desired Qualifications

  • Possesses advanced military Staff/War College training, strong writing and briefing skills, and coaching and leading skills (desirable)
  • Extensive knowledge of military operations and familiar with strategic planning and joint operations with major Command staff activities.
  • Polished speaker capable of interacting with senior Government leadership as well as capable of preparing papers, reports and briefings.
