Software Testing Associate – Join the MyNavyHR Enterprise Program!

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Software Testing Associate to join our PRIDE MOD NASIS Sustainment Services team in support of the OPNAV N1 MyNavyHR Enterprise Program. 

As a key member of our agile project development and testing team, you will collaborate with developers and testers to analyze requirements, create detailed test cases, and ensure the smooth delivery of high-quality software systems that align with mission-critical needs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide testing support as a member of an integrated agile project development and testing team
• The Software Tester will be working with other developers and testers to test custom developed software as required
• Analyze requirements and design documents to determine test strategy and estimated level of effort
• Create detailed step by step manual test cases 
• Execute manual test cases that ensure system software performs according to documented business requirements, business rules, and technical specifications etc.
• Document actual results during execution 
• Identify software defects and create test reports

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted

   

REQUIRED SKILLS: This position requires a self-motivated, professional individual with demonstrated experience in testing applications, including:

• Hands-on, proven experience creating test cases
• Ability to understand and analyze complex business requirements
• Ability to convert business requirements into test cases
• Demonstrated knowledge in working on an IT team implementing major software releases using SCRUM Agile methodology
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with AzureDevOps

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of DoD IT systems/processes 
• Basic Knowledge of Structured Query Language 
• Automation testing is a plus (e.g. Selenium)

CLEARANCE: 

• U.S. citizen. None to start, ability to obtain Secret clearance.
