SAIC has immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer supporting the Precision Fires team for CCDC Aviation and Missile Center, Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) located on Redstone Arsenal, in Huntsville, Alabama.
The candidate will be responsible for design and development of embedded software for military systems. The candidate will perform development activities for the full life cycle of a software program.
Job Duties:
- Requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, test, documentation, and support.
- Participate in software team meetings, hardware and software design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
- Work with Cyber, Safety, Operations, and Test organizations to deliver high quality working software.
- Work in a team environment, with well-defined goals, supporting both new and legacy embedded systems.
- Candidate is able to receive timely feedback on software implementation by working directly with the customer, ensuring Agility and delivering a software product that fills immediate needs.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and (14) fourteen years of relevant experience; Masters degree and (12) twelve years of relevant experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Security Clearance:
- Must have an active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
Required Skills:
- C/C++ and other Object Oriented Languages
- Agile Development Experience, specifically Scrum
- Continuous Integration and Automation
- OO programming and design, including writing unit tests
- Microsoft AzureDevOps
- Experience with Git, SVN
- Linux
- MS Visual Studio
