SAIC is seeking a full-time Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer to support the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), specifically for AEGIS and Enterprise Ship Self Defense Systems. The role involves the development, implementation, integration, and testing of high-fidelity modeling and simulation systems that support the evaluation of various Navy combat systems. Job Duties: Oversee the development, integration, and testing of a federation of high-fidelity models for Navy combat systems.
  • Perform analysis using scientific test and analysis techniques, conduct trade-off studies related to operational issues, and review test plans to ensure they meet operational requirements.
  • Develop Test Objectives (TOs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), and Measures of Performance (MOPs).
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 6 to 10 years of experience in modeling and simulation within a naval or military context.
    • In-depth knowledge of Navy combat systems and related M&S tools and methodologies is highly advantageous.
    • Demonstrated experience in the design, integration, and implementation of M&S products, particularly with AEGIS or SSDS ship or shore-based systems.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
    • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues within simulation models.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance associated with specific projects.
