SAIC is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the US Navy in Indianapolis, IN.

Note: This position is a part time hybrid remote position. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes. Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision

JOB DUTIES

  • Determine life cycle logistics requirements for complex acquisition programs and major system modifications for DOD.
  • Implementing and managing an acquisition logistics program including Product Support Planning and Management.
  • Mentoring less experience logisticians and other logistic disciplines.
  • Logistics Product Data (LPD) support and analysis, maintenance planning, and supportability analysis.
  • Reliability and Maintainability Program with Predictions, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analyses, Maintainability/Demonstration and Built in Test (BIT) Assessment.
  • Develop Maintenance Support Plan, perform Maintenance Task Analysis including identification of various maintenance actions: e.g., elapsed time of maintenance actions, task frequency, failure rates, Mean Time to Repair, and an item's man-hour allocation by maintenance action and level.
  • Generate Maintenance Test and Support Equipment (MT&SE) List / Support Equipment Recommendation Data (SERD). Coordinate Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses. Perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Lifecycle Cost Analysis (LCA). 
  • Support Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) tasks. Perform Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) analyses.
  • Supply Support Services, Proposed Spare Parts List, and Requests for Nomenclature, Provisioning Requirements, Provisioning Parts List, and Provisioning List Item Sequences, participate in Provisioning Working Group; coordinate Engineering Data for Provisioning, Provisioning Verification Assessment.
  • Training Management Plan, Training Task List Analysis, Training Test Package, and formal Training Course Development. 
  • Provide Onscreen Lessons and Training Delivery, Formal Operator/Maintainer On Site Training, Supportability and Test Training Conduct, Initial Operator/Maintainer Factory Training (IFT).
  • Coordinate development of manuals / Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMS).
  • Assist with Counterfeit Components Program. 
  • Item Unique Identification (IUID) implementation. Coordinate Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) / Obsolescence Analyses

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) level III or equivalent training/experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Practical knowledge of OPUS/Compass database management systems and various other supportability analysis- software tools.
  • Experience in related logistical guidance and policies (including GEIA-STD-0007).
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Full DOD Secret Clearance; Interim Secret clearance required to start. SAIC will sponsor qualified candidates for a security clearance. 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions and consider decision impacts across multiple areas.
  • Ability to interpret large of amounts of data and isolate pertinent information and facts.
  • Ability to work in an integrated product team and engage directly with product stakeholders. 
  • Candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be organized and detail oriented.
