SAIC is seeking an SCA Engineering Technician V to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) testing and repair on RFBU (Radio Frequency Blanking Unit) CCAs.
- Review documentations, standard operating procedures, and drawings to determine component root cause analysis troubleshooting.
- Operate hand tools and test equipment
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving: Identifying and resolving issues/malfunctions using specialized test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying various types of equipment, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of electromechanical systems.
- Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing
- Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School and five (5) years of related experience; AA Degree in related discipline and three (3) years or more of related experience
Able to interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
Soldering experience
- Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
- Must be U.S. citizen
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Soldering experience. Preferably 7711/7721 Solder Certified or J-STD-001 Solder Certified
- Experience using hand tools.
