SAIC is seeking an Engineering Technician IV in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Navy. This position is responsible for performing activities involving the assembling and integration of military and commercial systems including modification of military platforms. This position will be on the base working in the serpentine area overhauling serpentines. 

The Engineering Technician III will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Must be familiar with mechanical and electrical concepts and applications and must have experience using testing equipment such as volt/ohm meters, power supplies, micrometers, calipers and depth gauges
• Operating in environments that could result in the use of ladders, scissor lifts and or man lifts
• Should have some experience in dealing with mechanical and electrical prints in their work history

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High School diploma or GED

Required Clearance: 

• No Clearance required for this position; US Citizenship required

Required Skills: 

• Must be able to use a computer and simple software applications
• Communicate well
• Work well in a team environment
• Self starter
• Adept with most hand and power tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, nutdrivers, impact wrench...)
• Effectively utilize both hand and electrical powered tools

Desired Skills:

• Database or Excel experience is a bonus
• Forklift experience is preferred
