SAIC is seeking an early career Life Cycle & Procurement Support Specialist to assist the Space Systems Command on a program supporting the U.S. Space Force. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, build technical experience, and contribute to a mission‑driven environment at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.
You will collaborate with Active Duty, U.S. Government, and contractor personnel while learning how to navigate procurement systems, track assets, and maintain accurate records in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Support: Assist with reviewing requisitions, gathering quotes, and preparing documentation for purchase orders under supervision.

Supplier Coordination: Help track vendor deliveries, gather status updates, and support basic supplier communications as needed.

Inventory Support: Monitor and update inventory databases, assist with tracking critical computer and network spares, and learn how to forecast supply needs.

Logistics Assistance: Support shipment tracking, help identify delivery issues, and escalate problems to senior staff when necessary.

Lifecycle & Configuration Documentation: Contribute to simple inventory reports and help maintain asset data used by the Configuration Management team.

Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate purchasing, shipping, and inventory records while learning applicable compliance standards.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with task order managers, government personnel, and internal teams to support day‑to‑day logistics needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, supply chain, or a related support role — OR equivalent experience through military service or technical training.
Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility (U.S. Citizenship required).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with SharePoint or other collaboration tools is a plus, or willingness to learn.
Ability to learn new processes, tools, and systems with on‑the‑job training.
Desired Skills & Experience
Coursework or exposure to supply chain, business, logistics, or IT systems.
Experience working in a DoD or Federal Government environment.
Interest in software or system lifecycle processes.
Willingness to learn root cause analysis and forecasting methods.
