SAIC is looking for Principal Antenna Ground Systems Engineer. This position is in Colorado Springs. Below are the duties and responsibility and scope of work.
- Concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, systems & operation. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition
- studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
- Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
SCOPE: Support and/or lead special projects assigned by National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Operations Squadron (NOPS) leadership team. Provide integration and engineering support tasks to include:
- Monitor developments in the launch and aerospace industry that will afford opportunities for ground antenna network architectures.
- Perform ground antenna network architecture analyses and risk assessments; make recommendations on improvement or mitigation options.
- Assess new capabilities for technical performance, security, and cost suitability; make recommendations for implementation.
- Interact with Satellite Control Network (SCN) and United States Space Force (USSF) stakeholders to convey requirements and establish capability to support future SCN advanced capabilities from NOPS.
- Develop and vet requirements to drive material solutions; track procurement and project status.
- Engage stakeholders across NRO Enterprise and mission partners to formulate implementation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or comparable technical experience.
- 10+ years' experience and must possess a working knowledge of the Space Force Satellite Control Network and Satellite Control Network-like Antenna Architectures.
- Experience in working with NRO customers throughout Enterprise to formulate implementation strategies.
- Experience in launch activities to improve ground antenna network architectures.
- Applicants must possess excellent written and communication skills.
- Must have a TS/SCI/poly.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
