SAIC is seeking Network Administrators to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS.
This position will be located in the National Capital Region.
Please note that this is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by fall 2025.
The Network Administrator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, performance, and security of the network infrastructure.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network-related software and hardware systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and encryption devices
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols and work with IP-based networking environments
- Evaluate, develop, and sustain telecommunications infrastructure and ensure conformance with organizational IT policies and objectives
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- One of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
- Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science and 9 years or more relevant experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols, security standards, and media access control systems
- Demonstrated experience in network segmentation, traffic management, and secure network architecture design
- In-depth knowledge of network tools, monitoring platforms, and documentation best practices
- Experience with modern networking technologies, including SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, and cloud networking services
- Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and other network components
- Experience performing root-cause analysis
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of IT service management best practices and frameworks such as ITIL
- Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline network operations
- Familiarity with NIST, STIG, RMF, and Federal Information Systems Controls
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
