SAIC is looking for experienced former US Navy personnel, either officer or senior enlisted, to facilitate high-end training in Information Warfare for fleet staffs and units as they prepare for deployment as a Navy Electronic Warfare SME in San Diego, CA.  You will be part of a small team of highly focused experts who research, develop, present, and facilitate complex war games and other fleet training requirements. You will provide Subject Matter Expertise in the latest doctrine, tactics, & systems for Information Warfare. You will liaise with Navy and Joint centers of excellence on the latest warfare tactics, techniques and procedures, with the potential for occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas.

Job Duties:

  • Provide SME support to technical customer in latest USN doctrine, tactics, and capabilities/limitations of all related systems for Information Warfare (IW), Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW), and Non-Kinetic Fires (NKF).
  • Develop and execute advanced military war games and other curricula as part of fleet training requirements for Carrier Strike Group and Expeditionary Strike Group Commanders and staffs, and subordinate Warfare Commanders and staffs, to include the Information Warfare Commander and staff.
  • Research, analyze, and incorporate latest aspects of IW doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), and IW/EMW/NKF systems into war game scenarios.
  • Develop necessary supporting products and documents as required for war games, such as OPTASK IO or other guiding documents.
  • Support training audience IW/EMW/NKF planning efforts for war game scenarios.
  • Facilitate presentation of war games by managing IW/EMW/NKF scenario aspects during games, to include role-playing IW/EMW/NKF entities and determining timing/ method of scenario injects and flow. 
  • Facilitate post-war game training analysis by gathering data and providing feedback to customer staff and training audience.
  • Be prepared to present or facilitate academic instruction in IW/EMW/NKF, to include lectures, seminars, and table-top war games.
  • Liaise with Navy centers of excellence on latest tactics, techniques and procedures for IW/EMW/NKF.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's and ten (10) years of overall related experience required; years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret clearance required to start.
  • 10 years of demonstrated experience in planning, implementation and execution of Navy EW/IO missions and operations preferred. 
  • 5 years' experience as a Naval Officer or Chief Petty Officer or equivalent.
  • Qualification as Information Operations Watch Officer/ Information Warfare Watch Officer, or equivalent warfare area qualification.

  • Five years of experience in developing and executing tactical warfare training exercises or equivalent training.
  • In-depth experience operating shipboard ES/EW systems, such as SLQ-32, and understanding of emissions control, signature control, tactical situation assessments and other IW/EMW/NKF actions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Navy EW background.
  • Experience with Fleet Synthetic Training.
  • Experience with Live-Virtual-Constructive training initiatives.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
