SAIC is currently seeking a Large-Scale Global Exercise (LSGE) Joint Exercise Planner to support USINDOPACOM J73 located at Camp Smith in Honolulu, Hawaii with orchestrating the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning and efficient execution along with Information Environment concepts of support for Large Scale Global Exercise (LSGE) and associated events as directed by USINDOPACOM J733, Theater Exercises Branch.    

NOTE: International travel, up to 25% of the year, may be required to support the planning and execution of designated exercises

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Develop exercise design plan, exercise planning milestones with associated deliverables, and exercise planning work group organizational requirements for all planning events (EDM, CDC, IPC, MPC, FPC) during the JELC.

·         Ensure unified action within USINDOPACOM, with Allies and with supporting organizations in the planning and execution of Large-Scale Global Exercise (LSGE) and associated events such as ELITE CONSTELLATION.

·         Perform in an observer/assessment role during LSGE execution to ensure objectives met.

·         Serve as an observer during LSGE execution, ensuring objectives are met through coordination with staff, proper personnel, forces, events, equipment, and support, including Information Operations and Public Affairs, aligned with the Campaign Plan.

·         Develop, implement, and maintain efficient protocols, processes, and procedures in support of exercise planning and execution including authoring exercise directives (PLANORD/EXORD) and Exercise Control Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

·         Lead exercise work group planning meetings using the Joint Planning Process (JPP) with all stakeholders and In-Progress Reviews (IPRs) with senior leaders.

·         Maintain appropriate OPSEC conditions at multiple levels of classification while working with military, civilian, contractor, and foreign allied personnel.

·         Maintain associated J73 exercise information data sites and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to LSGE and associated events.

·         Leverage appropriate tools in support of the JELC such as Task Management System (ETMS2), Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS), Joint Training Tool (JTT) and other related databases or systems.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelors and ten (10)+ years of relevant experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

·         Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I complete; two (2) years of experience on a joint operational/strategic headquarters staff accepted in lieu of JPME Phase I.

·         Thorough knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and associated requirements to plan and execute exercises with related Information Environment objectives.

·         Proven experience in an operations management role and an Information Environment planning role with oversight of projects and maintenance of timelines which require ability to work independently without direct oversight on multiple tasks simultaneously.

·         Experience in operations planning with US Armed Services, including joint assignments and working with Allies and Partner countries. 

·         Must understand and have experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) or equivalent military planning process.

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

·         Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

·         Must be a current US Citizen.


Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
