SAIC is looking for a Logistics Analyst in Crane, IN to assist the U.S Air Force and U.S. Navy in supporting the TACP programs.  This position will provide acquisition logistics support for Department of Defense (DoD) operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in utilizing advanced Inventory Database Management tools, coordinating material movements, maintaining records, supporting receiving/shipping processes, managing logistics data and provide DRMO support. This position requires a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment with direct engagement with government leads and team members.

Note: This role will be fully on site in Crane, IN. No Remote

Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Use Inventory Database Management tools such as database applications such as Web Flis, Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Helix Helpdesk, and SharePoint.
  • Support SOM storage movements by generating DD1148 Forms to put material into SOM Locations and NSCW Material Movement Forms (Bin to Bin) to take material out of SOM; requesting Unique Material Master (UMM) numbers and extending material numbers to appropriate Storage Locations (SLOC's) by creating heat tickets.
  • Generate DD1149's in ERP for all equipment returns, RMA's, fielding and Helpdesk Requests. 
  • Maintain records and logbooks for receipts; provide status reports and metrics on incoming receipts as needed
  • iPDM support by updating moving assets, configuring systems, creating RMA's and Repair Travelers, and updating DD1149's for outgoing and incoming assets. 
  • Coordinate with Government Leads on logistic coordination, storage, shipping, documentation, and government data system support for Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) 
  • Track equipment inductions and turn-ins.
  • Kitting assets for Distros and fielding's
  • Investigate and correct any errors identified on shipping records.
  • Review, provide recommendations and adhere to SOPs and instructions applicable to tasking; Participate in team meetings and audits when applicable.
  • Support receiving operations by verifying and updating all incoming TACP (Tactical Air Control Party) material shipments originating from military Units, Manufacturers (MFR), and SAIC transit to NSWC Crane. Maintain and update project received sheet; proactively notify the Lead POC and Procurement teams upon the arrival of project-specific materials.

  • Support shipping by packing and shipping assets for Government Customer.
  • Must be able to collect data from multiple sources, organize, and analyze the information to produce weekly and monthly reports. 
  • Managing our Technical Manual effort as well as being cross trained for other logistician roles support. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with at least three years' experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or an associate's degree with at least 5 years' experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or equivalent military experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD in lieu of a degree.
  • No clearance required to start however must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 
  • Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, Project, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in the use of database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Experienced in Inventory Database Management and tracking to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) and Enterprise Resource Planning. (ERP)
  • Able to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both sitting while working at a desk/computer and working on his or her feet 
  • Must not have limited mobility precluding reaching overhead, stooping/kneeling or making repetitive motions
