The position requires a high degree of teamwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and desire to learn and share knowledge about Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The candidate will need to be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management of Information Systems, or relevant discipline and 2 years or more experience OR 6 years or more experience in lieu of degree.
•3-5 years of Linux Server Administrator experience
•Experience managing Linux servers from install, O&M and upgrades
•Experience shell scripting (such as BASH, Bourne, Korn)
•Demonstrated knowledge implementing backup/recovery
•Demonstrated knowledge implementing disaster recovery
•Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required
•DOE Q or equivalent to start
•STIGs implementation and support
•Red Hat Linux OS
•Patch management tools such as Red Hat Satellite
•Application support, Web, and Database loads on Unix/Linux platforms
•Configuration management/automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, etc.
•DevOps methodologies, Agile concepts
•Cloud technologies, container planforms, non-relational database systems
•Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
•Strong analytical and organizational skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
•Demonstrated experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment
•Ability to develop and nurture effective relationships internal and external to the organization
