SAIC is hiring a Link 16 Subject Matter Expert as integral member of the SAIC Command and Control Battle Management System Program headquartered at Huntsville, AL. This position is Part-Time Casual with remote capability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translate current Joint/USAF systems and L16 message traffic designs into clearly understandable and workable network systems engineering.
- Translate current Joint/USA systems and VMF message traffic designs into clearly understandable and workable network systems engineering.
- Support and enable clear understanding of operational L16 message requirements with multiple Joint aerial and firing platforms.
- Support and enable clear understanding of operational VMF & TAK message requirements with multiple Joint indirect firing platforms
- Support the clear understanding and translate the complex Govt requirements into th3 C2 UI/UX to support focused and better execution of software development.
- Support analysis of L16 message traffic requirements, warfighting operational requirements, intelligence information requirements and appropriate integration of multiple/applicable systems enabling the C2 UI/UX.
- Support the testing and viability of the C2 UI/UX with the USAF Testing community.
- Support analysis and integration of C2 UI/UXamong the many different testing scenarios i.e. DT, OT, AFSIT and JTIC.
- Be on call for any necessary input desired from a Link 16, VMF, TAK SME.
- Be ready to attend and participate in coordination meetings, discussions of systems, or inter-team coordination.
- Participate in final decisions made for operational use of C2 UI/UX by the US Govt.
- Be prepared to assist the C2 UI/UX with the injection of wisdom, knowledge and expertise gained throughout 20+ years of experience with L16 and associated systems.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience
Minimum 20 years in DoD tactical and command-control systems integration and operational field experience in combat operations.
REQUIRED CLEARANCE: Must Possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance: U.S. Citizenship;
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Air Intel Officer experience
- Doctrine writer experience
- Operations Command Simulation and Training experience
- Experience with the following platforms: - A10, B1, B52, F15E, F16, MQ1 and MQ-9
- Relevant experience with the following systems:
- Army & Air Force experience
- Combat Deployments: Joint, Conventional, Special Operations
- Special Ops Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC)
- Joint Firepower Course (JFC) and
- Joint Forward Observer (JFO)
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Indirect Fire / Close Air Support Training Systems
· MQ1/MQ9 ROVATS and MTD, Raven View (SUAS sim), and LIFE
· Vampire (SUAS sim)
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
