SAIC is seeking a motivated Entry‑Level IT Intern to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role is ideal for students or early‑career professionals looking to gain hands‑on experience across core IT functions, including support, systems, networking, and asset management. The IT Intern will be responsible for but not limited to the following: 

• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and local network issues
• Support end‑users through ticketing systems and remote tools
• Help with imaging, deploying, and maintaining devices
• Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as password resets and endpoint updates
• Support asset management tasks, including inventory tracking and lifecycle processes
• Help monitor system alerts and escalate issues when needed
• Participate in routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patching, and equipment checks
• Document processes, solutions, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with IT team members on small projects and process improvements
• Basic understanding of computer hardware (components, troubleshooting, replacements)
• Operating system fundamentals (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Understanding of cloud platforms basics (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Basic cybersecurity awareness (phishing, access control, MFA, least privilege)

Qualifications

Required Education:

• High School graduate currently enrolled in college with at lease 2 years of coursework and zero (0) years' experience.

Required Clearance: 

• No clearance required; US Citizenship required.

Required Skills: 

• Basic understanding of computer hardware (components, troubleshooting, replacements)
• Operating system fundamentals (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Understanding of cloud platforms basics (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Basic cybersecurity awareness (phishing, access control, MFA, least privilege)
